Relay replacement after we test the circuit
The thermostat calls for cool and nothing happens. Or the unit starts sometimes and not others. Relay replacement is often the fix.
A relay passes power to the motors and the compressor. When it sticks or burns out, the equipment stops listening.
Sometimes it's the board, not the relay
Relays can sit on the control board itself, so we test the circuit to find out whether the relay failed on its own or the board around it did. Then we replace the right part and run the system.
What the visit covers
- Electrical component inspection
- Relay and startup testing
- Compatible replacement relays
- Wiring and safety check
What happens when you call
Tell us what the system does when the thermostat calls. JD usually picks up. If he's under a house or on a roof, someone calls you back. Ask about the diagnostic fee and we'll tell you before anyone drives out.
