A hard start kit helps a healthy compressor, not a dead one
The outdoor unit hums, strains, and sometimes trips the breaker. A hard start kit gives the compressor extra help getting started.
It won't fix a compressor that's already failed. We test first so you don't pay for the wrong part.
When a kit is the right call
If the compressor is sound but struggling against high pressure on startup, a kit helps, and on an older unit it can buy real time before a replacement conversation. We check the circuit and capacitor, install it, and test the startup.
What the visit covers
- Compressor startup testing
- Kit installation or replacement
- Capacitor check
- Startup test after install
What happens when you call
Tell us whether the breaker has been tripping. JD usually picks up. If he's under a house or on a roof, someone calls you back. Ask about the diagnostic fee and we'll tell you before anyone drives out.
