Control board replacement, after we rule out the cheap stuff
The unit won't start, ignores the thermostat, or cycles for no reason. It can feel like the whole thing is haunted. Sometimes it needs a control board replacement.
Often it doesn't. A fuse, a relay, or a loose wire can act just like a bad board.
Boards cost more than fuses, so we test first
We check the control circuit before we order anything, because a board can cost several times what a fuse or relay does and the symptoms look almost identical. If it really is the board, we install a compatible one and confirm heating, cooling, and blower operation.
